  1. The first approach is obviously dictated by the curriculum of the candidate. If his competence hits me, I ask for an interview. During the interview, I can’t base it all on competence. Since the candidate will have to fit in an already established team, he will have to fit in. And you can’t fit in if you’re personality isn’t a good match, sad but true. So, competent, yes, but also provided with a “winning” personality.
    In the end, I’d rather choose an averagely prepared individual if he’s willing to learn and to work with the right mindset. You can learn a task but you can’t learn a new personality.
